DJ Three..(March 5, 2002)
On the label:: "HALLUCINATION LIMITED" is a dj oriented label geared towards anything I find to be exceptional regardless of specialized genre, or just straight-for-the-dj type tracks.  An outlet for one-off's, little known talent with an emphasis on Florida; and global friends with tracks that need a home or better U.S. exposure.  An excuse to get up in the morning."

_Stories From The Sanctuaries  featuring_

1. 3 Degrees_Chicago(March 9)
<click on pic to go to 3 Degree's site!
Back in 99 a celebration was forged in Chicago, a Wednesday night get together of friends, families, and house music lovers.  The basis of this idea was to provide a space where intimate lovers & friends could come together without the flashiness & trendiness that was invading the club scene.  Based on their idea that like-minded people are only separated by 3 degrees, a new phase in Chicago nightlife was born.
On the message behind 3 Degrees: "The message behind 3 degrees is that we are all connected closer than we tend to think.  We as humans need to realize this first, before we can take any positive steps forward."

2. A weekend in NYC at the Shelter and Body & Soul.
(Feb. 25)
"To me, very earth-based, reaching the deepest fibers of my very existence, to a place indescribable with words." by Chuck Crider

3. Hoochie Production's(Orlando, Fl.) 'Stolen Hearts' Valentines party with guest dj Jask.(Feb. 28)

"An unmistakable highlight of the night was when he dropped "I Know" by Tim Deluxe, which set the dance floor on fire.  Dancing until it hurts never felt so good!"

no more satisfying work than work with no purpose.

If you could give up tricks and cleverness,
that would be the cleverest trick!"

King Britt..(Feb. 26_2002)
_Where is the Philly sound today?  Well if there's one that defines it today especially on the dancefloor it's King Britt, with his slew of productions(OvumRecords/Scuba/Firefly/

"Those who are known As Real People Are united in essence With the Way, So they have endowments yet Appear to have none; They are full yet Appear to be empty. They govern the inside, Not the outside. Clear and pure, utterly plain, They do not contrive Artificialities but return To simplicity."

_NYC native making waves in Florida with his Soulful Latin House style in the mix, known for his uplifting sets at places such as The Om Lounge, Hyde Park Cafe, The Hydeaway and the slammin radio "Our House" mix show in Tampa hosted by Jask & David Reyero on 88.5 F.M. On favorite djs: "I must say Ted Currier because when he spinned at WBLS/NYC I used to copy his mixes and therefore I got into mixing, and Afrika Bambaatta for the introduction of hip-hop and rare funk music, also my favorite right now has to be Larry Heard(the deepness is what I love about this dj), and finally my student SETH COYOTE, my 10yr. old son for proving to me that housemusic can be loved and enjoyed still at this age."

I am the light that is above them all,
I am the all,
and the all came from me
and the all attained to me.

_editor's note..
*E909St. has become like a mythical place in the Urban landscape, a place that makes you forget about time, so then really is it a place?  Like an Eden/Nirvana in the middle of all the madness we call time(mind), you don't have to go to the mountains to find it or the deep jungles it is right here, here in the middle of a loud street with buses and cars honking their horns trying to meet the demands of time, can't you see the space?  I see Zen in the trickling of water as it makes it's way down the sewer on a crack infested corner, the enlightened one is your neighborhood mechanic you talk to in those dark moments, God carries a "pink umbrella and wears second hand shoes," I see freedom as the seagull flys next to the AT&T skyscraper, I see hope in the smile of the children as they play in the sandbox, I see that God cannot be limited to our ideas as a bird leaves it's droppings on the statue of Christ at the Cathedral, & I hear the return of the Goddess(Sophia) as the waves crash at a full moon party on the beach.  The drumming continues, shall we join the dance or remain spectators?  Remember You are the Dance!
(*UPDATE_I'm now based out of San Francisco, Ca.; coming soon new articles on new local Bay Area labels to look out for.  Once I settle in, I will have more time to write.  Peace!)

_Internet radio where is it today in the age of the .gones, well here's one station that's been holdin it down through the storm of financial crisis in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Christian Clark one of the people/djs involved with the station at the moment gives us a lil scoop on the happenings as of late.
On amount of listeners per day: "Not sure...about 200-400, mostly people with computer jobs, sitting at work listening.  I try not to pay too much attention to the numbers...like I said, we're here to put the best music out to the internet, not to make money and be the next biggest site.  But I know that the people that hit us up stay for a while, and always come back."

Oye!!
If you are a promoter or partee saint/sinner & would like to post up some info on some happening soulful shindigs, email

Thaisoul aka Jask..(March 12_2002)
_Out of Tampa, Fl. comes the Thaisoul brotha serving up the spicy soulful jackin grooves every Tuesday at "Jack's House."  Since 95 Jask has been building this well respected night that features world reknown guests.
On most memorable nights: "There have been so many memorable moments for me, and the funny thing, most of them have happened here locally @ 'Jack's House'..."

"In the West we have a couple of names for the Goddess besides the Goddess. One is the Cosmic Christ, which I think is a euphemism for the Goddess because it is about cosmic wisdom, and wisdom is Sophia. The first name given to Jesus in the New Testament is Sophia - lady wisdom. This shook up the male establishment so much that the second generation came along and brought in Logos to put the brakes on all this woman stuff."

Jazz N Groove/Cleptomaniac legend!
On Soulfuric Records: "Our goal for the Soulfuric Label has always been to only release records with substance that don't have a stamp on them that says this was made in this year...I think we have achieved that in some cases."

"Say haven't you heard, haven't you heard.  You got to know the Word, know the Word!"
